Boys are disgusting…

April 24, 2011

Dennis, Jamen, Eli
Mom:  Eli, what do you want for breakfast?
Eli:  Poop

Eli praying:  Dear Heavenly Father, Please bless the poop.  We’re thankful for our food…..

Eli:  Knock, Knock
Anyone:  Who’s there?
Eli:  Poop.
Anyone:  Poop who?
Eli:  Clean me up.

(In case you can’t tell, Eli’s obsessed with poop.  For this reason and a few others, I’ve banned the Captain Underpants series.)

Jamen B.:  Once in our old apartments there was some grey stuff on the wall.  I picked it off and ate it.  It tasted disgusting.
Mom:  Gross!  It was probably a booger.  (Comment made to warn him not to eat anything unidentifiable that’s stuck on walls.)
Jamen B.:  It wasn’t a booger because boogers taste good.

Recently I found Dennis in the extra bathroom using a big wooden spoon to stir the water in the toilet.  He knows it’s a toilet “bowl”, alright!

In other news, I’m mostly busy with work…  Slower due to the tax season and Spring has sprung.  I’ve been planting perenials in the flower garden in our fron ward and poppies (at least I think that’s what they are) are coming up everywhere.  We’re getting the vegetable garden ready to plant.  Eventually, I’d like to have a raised bed, but I think it will take a few years to build it up.   I splurged and bought some raspberry plants.  It’ll probably be a year before they grow.

Jamen has been busy with the kids.  He’s a good dad and not much of a house keeper.  Oh well…  At least I have someone I trust to be with the boys while I’m at work.

Reading with Granny

We had a fun “stay-cation” for Spring Vacation.   The most exciting for the boys was that Granny, Grandma and Grandpa Underwood visited.

It’s been too long since I’ve taken a picture of my boys, so I gathered them together and this is the result.  Love you my 3 little boys and my 1 big boy!

The Boys

February 2, 2011

My boys are adorable!  I really need to post more pics…  They’re such a source of entertainment for Big J and me.

Busy Week

December 20, 2010

Lately I’ve felt crazy busy due to the holidays.  We’ve had a fun holiday season so far and kept pretty busy.

Jamen D. has been busy with the kids.  He also meets with two networking groups.  He sings with the (Church) ward choir, and got to sing on Sunday in the Christmas program.

I’ve been working and stressing out about not being busy.  I’ve also been meeting once a week with three of my friends who are teaching me to sew.  I’ve had fun completing some projects that will be showcased after Christmas.  In the last month, I’ve played my flute 4 times in public.  Yay!  It’s good to be back doing that.

Dennis is nearly walking.  Though, my boys are “nearly walking” for a while.  He gets into everything.  It’s so fun to see his ingenuity.

Eli is expressing himself more and more.  He’s such a good big brother and love to hug and kiss and sing to Dennis.  He loves drawing and conducting music.

He has a great smile and is constantly running.  He’s usually some kind of super hero that he makes up….  I can’t think of specific names right now.

Snow’s Here!

November 23, 2010

It snowed here last night and sadly, I have no pictures of the snow.  While Jamen D., Jamen B. and Eli were playing in the snow and scraping the driveway, Dennis and I were mopping the kitchen floor.   Here’s Eli and Jamen B. afterward though….

Thanks to the Woods for the coat and shoes, Aunt Audrey for the scarf and Granny for the gloves.

I planned on blogging once a week on Saturday or Sunday and this is why I didn’t:

Hunger Games... We're addicted.

I read the first book about a month ago and my friend Na Tasha lent me this on Sunday.  Both Jamen and I can hardly put the book down.  It’s the second book in The Hunger Games.  I highly suggest you read it.

What have we been up to?  Just the usual family stuff.  Jamen D. is getting out resumes and applications and taking care of the boys while I work/play.  Jamen B. still love kindergarten, Eli’s the best big brother and Dennis is still a talkative Mr. Smiley.  This is what he does in his spare time:

Dennis. November 2010.

Let’s just say that since I’ve been working I’ve let discipline slide.  Hopefully I’ll be able to get things back on track.  He’s sure a cute kid though.

Discovery Center of Idaho

November 8, 2010

The first week of November, we took the boys to the Discovery Center of Idaho.  I was kind of grossed out by all the germs, ewww.  The 3 little boys had a blast and so did Dad.

Isn’t it funny how Jamen D. and Eli have similar expressions?

happy halloween!

October 30, 2010

Life's not fair. It's a circus!

We’ve had a ton of fun this season!  This pic was taken at our ward “Trunk or Treat.”  We’ve had fun at Fall Festivals and Pumpkin Patches.  Big J was a great sport this year and dressed up as ring master.  We have a tradition of the “Halloween Witch” to cope with the candy.  The boys get to choose 3 or 4 pieces of candy and the rest goes out on the porch for the Halloween Witch…  Who graciously accepts of their offerings and leaves a book in return.  Happy Haunting!

Happy Birthday Dennis!

October 15, 2010

This year has flown by!  We love Dennis!  He’s such a happy boy!

These pictures are about a month before his birthday.

This is what he did on his birthday:

He played on the dishwasher while I designed his fruit bouquet.

Granny and Uncle Kevin came to celebrate Dennis K.’s 1st birthday!

Dennis chose a watermelon star and enjoyed wishes of health and longevity. (The other photos are blurry.)

Watermelon Juice!

Little D.

September 6, 2010

Some time ago I realized that I’ve never done a post about our Little D.  and now he’s almost 1!!!

D. is the happiest baby in our home so far.  Early on he’d wake up cooing and laughing.  I’d walk by the nursery and hear him babbling  or giggling to himself.  Now he’s a little more insistant if we don’t get him soon after he wakes up.

He loves to be with his brothers.  Several weeks ago, when our friend Amy was watch the three boys, D. was happily playing on the floor in their toy room and suddenly he let out a blood curdling scream.  So Amy ran to see what was the matter.  There didn’t seem to be anything wrong except that he was alone.  She picked him and he kept screaming until she went outside to where JB and E were playing.  He immediately stopped screaming and started laughing.
